Privacy policy

This policy covers the Paste Plus Mac app and this support website.

Clipboard contents stay on your Mac

Paste Plus processes clipboard images and text locally when you ask it to save. It does not maintain clipboard history, run analytics or advertising, require an account, or send clipboard contents to a server. The app has no outbound network entitlement.

Files and folder permissions

You choose where files are saved. Preferences and bookmarks for folders you authorize are stored locally in the app's sandbox. Bookmarks let the app access authorized folders again after a restart. Paste Plus reads the current Finder folder only to identify your requested save destination, with your Automation permission.

Saved files remain where you put them until you move or delete them. Changing the save folder does not delete previous files. Removing the app does not delete exported files or guarantee that macOS removes all app preferences, container data, or backups. Contact us if you need help removing stored app data.

If you save into iCloud Drive or another cloud-synced folder, that service may sync the files under its own settings and privacy policy. Opening exported HTML in another app may load resources referenced by that document; Paste Plus does not render clipboard HTML to fetch those resources while exporting.

Apple services

App Store purchases, downloads, update delivery, and diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple's privacy policy. Paste Plus does not receive payment-card details from the App Store.

For beta testing, Apple's TestFlight service separately processes tester invitations, feedback, usage information, and crash diagnostics. Feedback and diagnostic information may be shared with the developer through TestFlight. Avoid including private clipboard contents in feedback or screenshots.

Contacting support

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. Our email provider processes that conversation to deliver email. We use it to answer your request and keep the support conversation. Please do not send sensitive clipboard contents. You can contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of support information; some records may need to be kept for legal or security reasons.

This website

This website has no contact forms, analytics scripts, advertising, or application cookies. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes ordinary request and connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Clicking an email link opens your email app; the site does not send the message for you.

Your choices

You can pause Paste Plus, change its save destination and shortcut, turn optional launch at login off, or quit the app. Finder Automation permission can be changed in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation. You can choose whether to authorize a folder when the native folder picker appears.

We do not sell personal information or use Paste Plus for cross-company advertising tracking. We will update this page if relevant processing changes.
